The files in this LHARC file are part of The PC Assembler Tutor.
This is part of DISK1 (of a 4 disk set). DISK1 is being
transmitted in two separate files, DISK1-A.LZH and DISK1-B.LZH.
If you have received this file by modem, please read the file
BBSINFO.DOC in DISK1-A.LZH.
DISK1-A.LZH contains the i/o interface along with the
documentation for it. Although you can use this part alone, you
need to be a proficient assembly language programmer to do so.
DISK1-B.LZH contains a number of files which are used in the
TUTOR, along with the introduction and some appendices.
Since disk #1 contains a large number of unrelated files, they
need to be put in subdirectories. You do this by extracting the
files of both DISK1-A.LZH and DISK1-B.LZH into a single
directory, making that directory the current directory, and then
running DISK1MAK.BAT (which is in DISK1-B.LZH). Type:
>disk1mak a:
where 'a:' contains an empty formatted disk. It doesn't need to
be 'a:', it can be any drive. The colon is required.
DISK1MAK will create a number of subdirectories in the root
directory of whatever drive you choose, so you should use a
floppy disk drive, not a hard disk drive.
The list of all files on all four disks is in FILELIST.DOC, which
will be in the \COMMENTS subdirectory of disk 1. You start doing
the tutor by reading INTRO1.DOC and INTRO2.DOC and then doing the
chapters starting with chapter 0.
